August 10, 2006 - LAKE OSWEGO, OREGON...The Bank of Oswego will be the 2006-2007 “Title Sponsor” for the Leadership Lake Oswego, it was announced today by Dan Heine, President & CEO of the bank and Jerry Wheeler, CEO of the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce.

This program has been created by the Chamber of Commerce to recruit and cultivate local individuals who have leadership qualities and potential. The nine-month, one day per month program begins with a two-day, off-site retreat in September and runs through May, 2007. Participation also includes a graduation project to benefit the community. There will be 25 candidates who will receive leadership skills training and community awareness education.

“Leadership is a tremendous asset for any organization – a business, a non-profit, a church, a marriage, a family, a government,” comments Dan Heine. “Leadership Lake Oswego cultivates the candidate’s special skills for the good of our entire community.”
